Poor People on a Poor Planet - Climate Change and Poverty & the Death of Shannon Marie Bigley

i can’t exactly describe the sound of an aluminum walker being crushed by a Dept of Public Works (DPW) truck - but its a special sound of material violence unlike any other- with each crunch-clap - another unhoused disabled life is metaphorically and actually dismantled, while the truck continues to chew like a dog on a bone- our precious momentos, pictures, medicine and lives are now reduced to trash and our own bodies , no longer awarded the respect of being considered humans swept, cleaned up, removed..

From CPS to ICE- the Separation Nation didnt Begin with these Incarcerated Babies

From CPS to ICE- the Separation Nation didn’t begin with these Incarcerated Babies

The Violent Separation Nation  didn’t begin with this generation
with these babies
or their incarceration
The Separation Nation began with the theft of Turtle Island
and the humans who lived here and thrived on it

It continues today with the Confusion of age grade separated schools, Special Edukkkation and racist classist Child Separation SErvices
predating on poor parents and parents of color

Indigenous Values, Traditions and Circles through the Spirit of Homefulness

‘It’s getting really wet, now’ I thought, wincing with every footstep from a screw in my ankle. ‘Soon, it’ll be coming down too hard to move this library.’ My shoulders aching from moving shelves, books, and boxes from Uncle Al’s and Mama Dee’s Living (Really) Public Library. I know however that Mama Dee sits there, watching me from the corner in her altar, occasionally giving me thoughts to keep moving forward. The spirit I feel in there is heavy.

Poor People on Park Avenue???? Black, Brown, Indigenous and Poor People Lead Tour of Stolen Land and Hoarded Wealth in Eastern Turtle Island

“We are stopping you because some of the residents feel like they were targeted because you didn’t go to their doors, so they called the police,” The Connecticut poLice officers flanked our rental van at a stoplight in the wealth-hoarding neighborhood known as West Hartford, Ct, filled with acre-long lawns and plantation-like mansions and more stolen land than the wealth-hoarders even knew what to do with .

Suicide Amongst Native Americans

Every year there are hundreds to thousands of suicides that happen across the United States. Some happen on Indian lands that people know as “reservations.” They often go left unreported for traditional reasons. Native Americans struggle daily just for being Native in a white America.

From Oak Flats to Oakland The fight to save all of our Mountains on Turtle Island

It was a low, silent whisper

The Cries of Mama Earth were those of a woman who believed no-one would find her
if you listened very carefully you could hear a low destroyed cry rise up with every drop of grayish-white blood that seeped from her skin

Mama Earth was screaming
It was the scream at the end of a rape
when we barely have enough energy to breathe... excerpt of MountainRape by tiny
