Frisco Resistance To Hate

Tiny - Posted on 24 August 2017

Last night we, Frisco Resistance, in a truly rare meeting of diverse community minds and amor, finalized our plan for our march against hate and white supremacy, which will be this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Marina Green in San Francisco.

Join us here to take a stand and be on the right side of history:

The following is the power of the people, agreed to by the people at our Frisco Resistance Meeting on Wednesday, August 23:
• This is an action of amor, which means we will use non-violent, peaceful, powerful and effective strategies to defeat hate and white supremacy. With love we will gather on Saturday and spread this disciplined, authentic energy of love to all who are there. We will introduce ourselves to stranger-marchers and help them understand our focus. We will also encourage fellow stranger-marchers to walk with the purpose of amor. When relevant and possible, we will share positive historical effective precedents of San Francisco grassroots activism, such as “Amor for Alex Nieto (and the Bernal Heights memorial)” and “The Frisco Five” hunger strike. This will be an educational march as well! We will proceed in the march chanting and singing, and once we are at our destination, our goal will be to continuously chant and sing to drown out and overcome the voice of hate. We will stay disciplined and unified, peaceful and non-violent regardless of the consequences. If we spread this positive, disciplined energy, other groups and marchers will probably follow, especially if they do not understand or are confused about their purpose for being there.
• New march meeting place and time for Saturday, August 26 at 10:00: The new meeting location and time will be at 10am at west side of Marina Green.
• Security/Safety training and sign and banner making on Thursday, August 23 from 5-8 p.m. at 2969 Mission Street.
• For the march and rally, people in front must be ready to emulate non-violent frontline amor energy.
• We need people to video/film any and all aggressive hateful encounters by the “Patriot Prayer” people and white supremacists and police. Clear your video storage; make sure you have a full battery, an extra battery if possible.
• Chanters: we need chanters, and we need marchers to continuously join with the chants.
• Undocumented immigrants must beware because they will be on federal property
• Remember your Fifth Amendment constitutional right to remain silent. This is only activated if you are arrested and actually state “I plead the Fifth Amendment” and/or “I want to talk to my lawyer”. The National Lawyers Guild phone number is 415-285-1011
• Don’t communicate with the racists; we are not here to debate them. This is not the time or the place for shouting matches or abstract arguments. Our goal is to stand our ground, show our dignity, and drown them out with our chanting and singing, non-stop for hours if necessary.
• The police forces will probably do a checkpoint search of all marchers.
• No weapons are allowed. There is also a list of other things that are not allowed, which can be found here:…/
• We have a contingency of fellow ally U.S. armed forces veterans who will march with us.
• Bring your own water; stay hydrated.
• Posters can only be 24 by 36 inches.
• We encourage marchers to wear San Francisco/Bay Area apparel, such as Giants gear.
• As best as we can we are coordinating and sharing with other groups so we can Coordination with other groups.
• Everyone should join, share, and promote the Frisco Resistance Event page here:
• We view this as an adults only event so suggest no children attend.
