Excerpt from the Opening Prayer By Corrona Gould- 1st Nations Ohlone/Lisjan Land Liberator

We pray for the next seven generations and beyond. We pray for all of our relatives that are imprisoned behind walls, in their minds or addictions. We pray for those that are yet to be born, that we create a better world for them. We offer prayers for those that are leaving this world and their families. We pray that we, human beings, come back into the sacred circle of creation and do our part to stop the destruction of our Mother, Earth. We ask for special prayers for our relatives that are living without a roof, that are in places of violence, are living under fascism and all other isms. We ask for protection of our loved ones both near and far. We pray that the decisions we make today will help those yet to come.

Excerpt from the Introduction by Co-editors Lisa Tiny Gray-Garcia and Leroy Moore-

From Occupy to Black Lives Matter to poverty to homelessness and now to COVID-19/coronavirus, a rush to "innovate"/create, "serve," "fund," and ultimately rip off has always been at play. When POOR Magazine created the Decolonizer’s Guide To a Humble Revolution during the Occupy movement, it was to remind and educate people of all they had conveniently excluded from their selective memories, to help them with something NEVER taught or encouraged in krapitalism: humility and herstory...lisa Tiny Gray-Garcia

This is a time for radical changes, and I’m not talking about lukewarm Bernie Sanders’s revolution, who pimped Public Enemy, and now, once again, has shown us that these changes will not be coming from political systems. We have seen that the federal government wants us dead! Time and time again, we must be reminded that governments and nonprofits can’t move without us—the people push those MF.  Constantly when emergencies happen, two things happen over and over: (1) government will fail us, and (2) communities’ support, networks, and solutions take over, from the Black Panther’s sickle-cell anemia screening program and community food programs to today’s POOR Magazine’s Homefulness project....Leroy Moore,
